I see lots of products on the market that extend WiFi range from the base unit, but I need the opposite.
I live near enough to *someone's* WiFi signal to get access on a nice clear, quiet night - in my kitchen.
Is there anything out there that will help me pick up a signal better?
I don't mind HOW it works (inside laptop, sticks on outside, or stationary object) as long as it WORKS.
I have an internal b/g laptop card, if that makes a difference.

Re: WiFi range extenders?
Tue, September 21, 2004 - 8:14 PMYou could always pick up a pcmcia card with an external antenna port. Or maybe setup a wireless router with range extender antennas.

Any card that has either an external antenna port, or a detachable antenna.
